The graph shows the demand for electricity in England. The pie chart shows how electricity is used in an average English home. As can be seen, a majority of people tended to use heating rooms and heating water. Further, the survey data suggest that some English use the electricity on ovens, kettles, and wahsing machines. On the other hand, 15% of English had the demand on lighting, TV radio, and the rest of 15% required on vacuumming, cooking and electings.

Norbit

This winter vacation I saw a movie named Norbit. It’s a comedy acted by my favorite comedy star, Eddie Murphy. He played three roles in the movie, Norbit, Mr. Wong(the orphanage owner and ran a restaurant) and Rasputia (Norbit’s wife). He made three quite different kinds of characters lively, and he was successful.

Norbit was an orphan, raised up by Mr. Wong, and he had a great soulmate, Kate. But one day Kate was adopted and left Norbit to begin her new life. Norbit became lonely and he met Rasputia (a very fat girl) when he was nine. When they grew up, they got married. Because Norbit was a timid person, he was always teased by Rasputia’s family. A dramatic change was that Kate returned to the town with her boyfriend and met Norbit. Kate wanted to buy the orphanage where she grew up when she was young from Mr. Wong, but the place was taken the fancy by Rasputia’s brothers. Kate’s boyfriend and Rasputia’s brother made a deal to prevent Kate to buy the orphanage, which was noticed by Norbit. Norbit tried everything to help Kate to stay away from danger, disregarding the threat of Rasputia in any available ways. At last, Norbit had a happy ending, and he married Kate.

Indeed, I think that Eddie Murphy devoted himself deeply to this movie. I can feel that he touched my heart. He is born an actor to make audience happy. Also, it is a good comedy film that I recommend you watch it with your family.

My winter vacation in year 2007

Winter vacation is a best time for celebrating our most important Chinese New Year and doing something special for me. For instance, I joined the China Youth Corps, worked in the traditional market, and visited the Hakka culture.

First, this winter vacation, I joined the activities as a volunteer that was held by China Youth Corps as my short period part time job. I had to stay with children who was studying in elementary school, played games with them, and also tried to lead them. This experience led me to know, children are always energetic, childish, funny and pixie, just like a combination of Angel and Devil. Although it was tough to face the trouble-makers, there were also some sweeties in the teams. As a volunteer, I realized that to join these activities were not only for fun but also learned how to be responsible for yourself. I had learned a lot from it.

I also had another job in Chinese New Year. I gave my anti a hand to sell things in the traditional market. It becomes my routine every year. Every year during the Chinese New Year time, there might be lots of people buying things in the market, and that’s why I need to work in the market. My aunt sells the well-cooked chicken which is really delicious and famous, so every festival there are lots of customers waiting to buy her chicken. It was really busy in those days.

After the busy working days, my family and our relatives went to Hsin-chu together for a one-day trip and visited the Hakka culture, such as pounding mochi, grounding tea, and picking the struberries. Being with families makes me feel comfortable. Winter vacation is a good period for having fun with my family.

In this winter vacation I had many unforgettable memories of leading children, selling things in traditional market and staying with my family. I had great time with them and I do love this warm and peaceful atmosphere.
