My winter vacation in year 2007
Happily to welcome the year 2007, of course, we are also looking forward to the most important festival of the year, that is, the Chinese New Year. In spite of this, during the winter vacation I done something special, too. For instance, joined the China Youth Corps, worked in the traditional market and visited the Hakka culture.
First, this winter vacation, I had joined the activities that was held by China Youth Corps for my short period part time job. I have to stay with children who is studying in elementary school and play games with them, also try to lead them. This experience tells me, children is always energetic, childish, funny and pixie, just like a combination of Angel and Devil. Although it’s tough to face the trouble maker, there are also some sweeties in the teams. To join these activities not only for fun but also had learned the heart of responsibility. It’s not a regular part time job, and I had learned something from it.
I also had another job in Chinese New Year. I gave my anti a hand to sell things in the traditional market. It became my routine every year. Every time during the Chinese New Year, there might be lots of people buying things in the market, and that’s why I need to work in the market. My aunt is selling the well-cooked chicken meat, and it’s really delicious and famous, so every festival, there are lots of customers waiting to buy their chicken. It’s really busy in those days.
After the busy working days, sure I have to take some rest. My family and our relatives went to Hsin-chu for a one day trip and visit the Hakka culture, such as, pounding mochi, grounding tea and pick the struberries. The time with family and get closer makes me feel comfortable. I seldom have time to stay with my family and this is a good chance to stay with them.
This winter vacation I had many unforgettable memories with children, selling things in traditional market and to stay with my family. I had great time with them and I do love this warm and peaceful atmosphere.
